REGISTRATION

The symposium desk will be open, for registration and any information, at the Convitto della Calza (Piazza della Calza, 6) according to the following schedule:

Sunday 29 August 16:00 - 19:00
Monday 30 August to Friday 3 September 8:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 17:30

OPENING CEREMONY

The opening ceremony of the 19-th ECRS will be held at 6 p.m. of Monday 30-th August in "Salone de'Cinquecento", inside the Town Hall "Palazzo Vecchio" in "Piazza della Signoria".
The schedule foreseen for the ceremony is the following:
  • Welcome addresses
  • Ceremony of award of the "Fiorino d'oro" to Prof. Sir Arnold W. Wolfendale
  • Official opening of the Symposium
  • Opening lectures:
    Prof. G.Bignami "Galileo's heritage: planets, arts and history"
    Prof. L.Scarsi "Bruno Rossi and the group of Arcetri"
The ceremony will end with a welcome cocktail in the cloister, "Cortile del Michelozzo".
